This is a new category for 2017 and it replaces the Outstanding New Business Award. This new category is aligned with the NSW Business Awards, meaning that the winner will go on to represent the Shoalhaven in the Illawarra Business Awards.

This is not only a great opportunity to get incredible exposure for a new business, but just by entering, you will give yourself the chance to learn more about opportunities for improvement as you undergo entering and judging.

For the purpose of Awards, the term ‘Start up’ does not refer to tech businesses. Any business in any industry (subject to the below criteria) can enter this Award.

Start Up Superstar

This category recognises a business that has been operating for less than 2 years that delivers a product/service/idea/invention with credible potential. This award recognises early-stage startups that have a solid chance of market success, and strongly displays the entrepreneurial spirit.
