Well the night of nights was held on Friday night at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. It was a spectacular gala night of celebration for our Shoalhaven Businesses.
The Master of Ceremonies, Mr Andrew Daddo did a wonderful job speaking and entertaining all those present, whilst Swagamama amazed us with a performance full of energy, they had the wow factor !!!
Shoalhaven Business Awards 2015 has been a great success story for the Chamber with over 100 entries this year, which has exceeded previous years by over 30 entries. This was a great achievement and we were thrilled to have so many more businesses entering. As a result we have also had significant growth in our membership and that is so positive for our Chamber.
We had 16 category winners on Friday night, with the prestigious title of Business Leader being awarded to Peter Russell, Integrity Real Estate and Business of the Year being awarded to Stormtech, who also won the category of Excellence in Innovation. Congratulations to all the Winners.
A number of our Category Winners from Friday will now be moving through to the 2015 Momentum Energery Illawarra Business Awards to be judged. IBC released this statement earlier today……….
“The Shoalhaven Business Awards line-up of finalists and winners showcased the strength, diversity and quality of businesses from the Shoalhaven,” said Ms Debra Murphy, CEO Illawarra Business Chamber. “The inclusion of the Shoalhaven Business Awards winners provides a true showcase of business success from right across the region. It also demonstrates the strong alignment and collaboration across the chamber movement. The progress from the Shoalhaven local chamber’s awards, through the Illawarra regional awards and up to the pinnacle of the State Awards is a great opportunity for members to be seen on a state-wide stage at the NSW Business Chamber Awards in November.” Finalists of the Illawarra Business Awards will be announced shortly after 9th September.
I wish the best of luck to our Winners, and hope to see them as Finalists, and then hopefully Winners at the Illawarra Business Awards on the 23rd of October. And that of course would lead to the NSW Business Awards……….last year 3 of our winners being Cherub Rubs, Deborah Tozer and GJ Gardner Homes did in fact move on to the NSW Business Awards which was so wonderful to see, with GJ Gardner winning successfully at the NSW Business awards, a major achievement.
