Do Yourself An Awards Favour

By Brian Bramble, Clifton Accountants, Awards sponsor

It’s June and the Shoalhaven Business Awards is all around us again.

Just like Clifton Accountants, who aren’t just a typical accounting firm, and not just because of how we do business.

We’re undeniably proud of what we do, how we do it, and of the whole Clifton’s team.  That’s worth telling the world about.

However, banging your own drum isn’t easy for many business owners. Many don’t think it’s the done thing. Accountants probably more so than anyone else, because we’ve all heard the joke about how you know if an accountant likes you.  He looks at your shoes.

We’ve been part of the Business Awards for a number of years. Entrant, finalist, highly commended, sponsor. Very proud winner of Excellence in Professional & Commercial in 2012.

Bringing that trophy back to the office saw some incredibly big smiles on the faces of our team, who are all integral to the win.

There’s so much more to the Awards than the awards themselves.

It gave us the perfect opportunity to review our business.  Examining what we’d done well and not so well. Thinking about the wins, however large or small, that had come our way, and why.

Exposure of our brand. Opportunity to mix and mingle with like-minded business owners at the Awards Gala, engaging on a level that is difficult to do in the day to day hustle.  Employee and team pride.

Just Do It!

Think about those who aren’t as brave as you.  Enter a business you know should be shouting from the rooftops.

Get beside them, help them, create an award winning entry together.  Imagine how thrilled they’ll be if they win, and you were part of it.

The Awards are about bringing our business community together, and what better way than by nominating a great business and working with them on their entry.

Don’t deny yourself, because the opportunity to build your brand – and the brand of those you admire – is here with the Awards.

Get over to the Awards portal first of all, and make a stunning entry (and hopefully award) yours.
