SBC & Macey Insurance Brokers Golf Day 2025
November 21, 2025 @ 7:00 am - 2:00 pm

This Friday is our 12th Annual Macey Insurance Brokers Charity Golf Day!
We’re thrilled to announce that all teams and holes are FULLY SPONSORED – thank you to our incredible supporters!
But there’s still a way YOU can be part of this special day…
Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting our local community. Simply scan the QR code in the image to donate and help us make a difference.
Over the years, this event has raised more than $155,000 for local organisations.
Let’s make this year our best yet!
Shoalhaven Defence Families Association Inc
The Shoalhaven Defence Families Association Inc is a not-for-profit organisation established to bring fun, friendship and connection to new and existing defence families in the Shoalhaven and surrounding areas. Our objectives are to reduce isolation, develop a sense of community, build confidence, self-esteem and wellbeing and provide training and learning opportunities to members. We also offer our services to the wider civilian community.
We will use the funds raised from the 12th Annual SBC & Macey Insurance Brokers Charity Golf Day to support key areas of need not fully covered by existing grants. This includes strengthening our low-cost creche service, which enables parents and carers to access programs with confidence their children are cared for; delivering valuable programs such as mental health workshops, resilience training, and social connection events; and providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth and sustainable program delivery. These funds would allow us to respond flexibly to community needs and continue delivering inclusive, high-impact support across the Shoalhaven.
Can Assist Shoalhaven Branch
Can Assist Shoalhaven was formed in 2010 and raises funds to provide financial assistance to people in our local community who are undergoing cancer treatment. The Shoalhaven branch consists of a small group of people who enjoy fundraising together and are fortunate enough to be supported in their fundraising efforts by a number of local individuals and community groups. We understand that families struggle to cope with a reduced income as a result of a cancer diagnosis and that they face increased expenses from travel, accommodation and medical costs.
We will use the funds raised from the 12th Annual SBC & Macey Insurance Brokers Charity Golf Day to assist as many individuals and families in the Shoalhaven Local Government area requesting help during cancer treatment.
BCR Communities
BCR Communities is a well-established not-for-profit organisation that has proudly served the Shoalhaven and Illawarra regions since 1991. We lead in Youth & Community Services and Disability support in the Bay & Basin area, home to Bay & Basin Community Radio 92.7FM, located within our Activities Hub.
Our wide range of services and initiatives include Youth & Community Development, Targeted Early Intervention, a purpose-built Youth Precinct with a pop-up cafe, alternative learning pathways and wellbeing support, Driver Mentoring, and hands-on learning at the Activities Hub, where we offer woodworking, gardening, music, radio production, cooking, and more. Additionally, we run NDIS Programs, Social Enterprise and other events assisting our local community.
BCR Communities would use the funds to purchase a specialised gutter cleaning machine to expand our social enterprise services. This equipment would enable our community gardening and maintenance team to safely and efficiently offer professional gutter cleaning for local households, especially older residents and people who may not be able to manage this essential maintenance themselves. It would also help our community prepare for bushfire season by reducing fire risks caused by debris build-up. Importantly, investing in this equipment would directly create new paid employment opportunities within our social enterprise, particularly for young people and people living with disability or other barriers to employment. By growing our capacity, we can take on more local jobs, generate income to reinvest in our community programs, and give more people the chance to gain real work experience and build their skills in a supportive environment. This practical addition would strengthen BCR’s commitment to providing meaningful work, supporting local households with affordable services, and building a safer, more resilient community.
