Hotondo South Coast is no stranger to Awards. The recipient of a multitude of awards, both local and national, Hotondo understands the value that both entering and winning awards brings to a business.
Last year, the Hotondo South Coast team won Excellence in Social Responsibility, one of our new awards and one that recognises those who truly give back to the community.
And within the Hotondo network, the South Coast team won the Professional Builder of the Year – New South Wales, and Excellence in Customer Service. Hotondo South Coast is a team that continually strives hard to achieve excellence, both locally and within their industry.
We chat with Construction Assistant, Kayla Wilkes, to discover more about life at this award winning business.
What do you love about working for Hotondo South Coast?
I love that the office is family orientated. It’s a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Professional. Honest. Friendly
What is life like at Hotondo South Coast?
Warm and friendly in the mornings, with some exhaustion thrown into the afternoons. It’s a rollercoaster but it’s exciting.
How do you think Hotondo South Coast differs from other home builders?
We are unique in our approach that we build different relationships with each client and treat them like family. We also support them through each step of the building process as well as after the process is finished.
We keep them up to date on a weekly basis which makes their experience stress free.
Our Awards theme this year is cultivate, which is all about fostering growth. How does Hotondo South Coast foster the growth of its employees?
Hotondo offers ongoing training with Hotondo Head Office and external agencies. They offer advancement within the company. The company sets realistic goals for each employee, which makes it rewarding when they are achieved.
What do you love about attending the Business Awards?
I love the atmosphere, and of course dressing up – I feel like we are at the Logies! I also love seeing others being rewarded for their achievements.
Hotondo South Coast has also won Awards, what does it feel like to work for an Award-winning business?
Extremely rewarding as we work so hard as a team and individually. It provides me with a sense of pride.
Last year, Hotondo South Coast won Excellence in Social Responsibility, how does it feel to work for an organisation that is so focused on supporting the local community?
It’s extremely rewarding seeing our brand out in the community and that we have the ability to support those in need.
