Congratulations to The Oolong Aboriginal Cooperation, winner of the Excellence in Social Responsibility Award

Like “The Little Engine Who Could”, Oolong House is a truly remarkable story of optimism and tenacity. Whilst the day to day work of drug and alcohol rehabilitation is notable in itself, far beyond their clients’ twelve week stay, Oolong House develops deep and significant connections to literally dozens of community organisations that build an incredible circle of care and resilience around their clients. From internationally peer-reviewed research that will benefit programs all over the globe, to reconnecting clients with long-lost family, Oolong House continued to impress the judges. Along with example after example of how this amazing team changes the lives of their clients, their families and our community, Oolong House is a truly worthy recipient of this award.
