Our theme this year is Connect, Communicating & Collaborating to create meaningful relationships for a sustainable, vibrant & profitable business community. How does your business work to connect the Shoalhaven Community?
At Quest Nowra, we believe it is important to think and act beyond the bounds of our own business. We all share the same common goals of wanting to support a dynamic and robust business economy in the Shoalhaven while providing the best possible service for our customers. Exploring ways of partnering with other local businesses can open up a whole range of opportunities for both businesses to grow and improve what they do.
During the past three years we have developed many great partnerships with local businesses to offer value-added services and improve the overall experience for our guests, such as local restaurant charge-backs, conference catering services, as well as support for services and businesses that share our joint passion for stimulating and driving tourism to the beautiful Shoalhaven region.
We are also a team with a strong social conscience and are proud to actively support the local community by getting behind as many local fundraising initiatives as we can.
How does your business differ from its competitors?
Quest Nowra is the only large hotel-style serviced apartment provider of its kind in the Shoalhaven region. We provide an alternative accommodation option, in particular for long-stay corporate travellers, as well as many of the thousands of leisure travellers who visit the area each year. With 81 studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, the size and scope of our hotel is also unique to the region.
What are your business’ core values and how do you uphold these?
Developing strong, ongoing relationships is at the core what we do at Quest Nowra. We take the time to engage with our corporate partners and guests to discover what makes them and their businesses really tick. This means we can tailor our accommodation options to provide our guests with a true home-away-from-home experience. We are also focused on continuous improvement so that every experience with us is better than the last.
What value do you think the Business Awards brings to the region?
The Awards are a great opportunity to shine a light on some of the innovative and inspiring work being done by local businesses. By showcasing the strengths of the wider business community in the Shoalhaven we can also continue to attract great people, ideas and investment to the region.
Why do you believe it is important for people to enter the Awards?
It’s a great opportunity to get your business noticed and position yourself as a desirable employer in the region. In addition, the Awards entry process calls on businesses to analyse not only what they have achieved and how they’ve done it, but to look forward to how they can improve in the future. It’s a really valuable business improvement process.

Sponsoring the Awards is a fantastic way to help foster a strong business community in the Shoalhaven. The gala event itself is wonderful celebration of all these achievements and provides new benchmarks for us all to strive for in the coming year.
