Businesses eligible to enter include providers or general tourism/recreational facilities and attractions, licenced clubs, hotels, motels, caravan and camping parks, B&B operators, conference and catering operators, restaurants and cafes.

In a high quality field of finalists, HopDog not only demonstrated passion for brewing high quality ales, but also for the growth and success of hospitality and tourism in the Shoalhaven. They have made a significant investment in increasing production and sales; whilst also ensuring a high quality product, which has been consistently recognised by their industry. HopDog has broadened the tourism experience within the Shoalhaven, going beyond cellar door sales into beer tours, events, and courses in beer making and appreciation. They are innovative with the use of social media for marketing to not only sell and distribute their products, but also to promote the broader Shoalhaven tourism experience. HopDog BeerWorks has also contributed to the community as part of an award winning beer making and appreciation course with residents from Cleland Lodge (an aged care residential facility) located in North Nowra.
