The judges said the following about Nowchem: Nowra Chemical Manufacturers truly excel in their approach to reducing the impact of their operations on the environment. Nowchem has an excellent staff engagement model with a ‘bottom up’ approach. Through its Green Lean initiative, Nowchem ensures that all staff participate in the development and achievement of its sustainability goals. A commitment to this approach and the constant review and updating of its goals see the business continually demonstrate what a sustainable business looks like. Additionally, this continued success has resulted in Nowchem also entering the ‘Hall of Fame’ for Sustainability, after winning this Award in 2014, in 2015, and now in 2016.
