Executive Lunch Series – Post Budget Lunch
Macquarie Banks’, Martin Lakos, gave a world wide context to the recent Federal Budget at the SBC ‘s Post Budget Lunch, held at the Shoalhaven Ex-Serviceman’s & Sports Club at Worrigee on Wednesday.
Martin illustrated the issues facing the current budget including historical graphs of business and consumer confidence, housing starts and construction indices as indicators of economic growth, and the ‘Chinese’ economic phenomenon with its future effect on Australian export and domestic investment growth. The U.S. recovery with ‘Quantitative Easing’ was contrast against European monetary policy and the recent affects on the Euro currency and Australian Dollar.
With around 50 attendees enjoying the great facilities provided by the club, and sponsors Macey Insurance and SV Partners supporting the event, the SBC looks forward to hosting another Executive Lunch in the coming months.
